In February of 2025 I began designing a barbershop located in downtown Philadelphia
Roman’s Barbershop opened to the public on April 1st
I met Max and Phil in February of 2025.
They had decided to open their own shop and found a space at 2120 Walnut St.
The previous space was a massage & nail parlor and had been stripped to bare walls.
STORY

I began by making construction drawings and look books, talking to local contractors to get bids for the work, and sourcing the materials and fixtures all within the client’s budget.
Demo began in February. After stripping the floors, removing a few walls, and adding plumbing - I began to select finishes for the space.
Construction lasted until the beginning of April - a 3 month flip.
Roman’s Barbershop opened to the public in April 2025
